With over a decade of experience as an English teacher, project-based learning facilitator, and academic coach, April Jackson has dedicated her life to transforming education for Black children.
In 2020, she founded PASS Network to close the gap between traditional schooling and the needs of Black students. Recognizing the power of small learning communities, she launched PASS Pod, a microschool designed to provide a culturally affirming and academically challenging experience.
April holds a BA in English from Miles College and two Master’s degrees in Secondary Education and Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Phoenix. She’s also the co-founder of Black Microschools ATL, a collective of non-traditional learning spaces for children in Atlanta.
